Section 0ne:
|
My Lord! Tongues fall far short of attaining praise of Thee proper to Thy majesty,
 | And intellects are unable to grasp the core of Thy beauty, |
 | And the eyes fail before looking at the glories of Thy countenance, |
 | And You have assigned no way to Thy creatures to know Thee except the incapacity to know Thee! |
|
Section Two:
My God! Let us be among those whose loving Thee is firm in their hearts, and let us be seized by
the ardor to loving Thee!
 | Who seek shelter in the nests of meditation, |
 | They are blissful in the gardens of openness and nearness to Thee, |
 | Who drink from the pools of love with the cup of gentle favor,
|
 | And enter into the springhead of warm affection.
|
 | Whose the barricade from their eyes has been lifted, |
 | And the darkness of doubt in their beliefs and
their inner minds has been removed, |
 | The contention of doubt has been negated from their hearts and their inner thoughts, |
 | And their hearts are joyous by the verification of True Knowledge, |
 | High is their happiness for their good fortune due to their previous renunciation of the world |
 | Sweet is their drinking from the spring of devotion to good works, |
 | Sweet are their inner thoughts in the place of intimacy, |
 | Secure in the occasions of fright are their minds, |
 | Serene are their souls through the return to the Lord of lords, |
 | Their eyes are joyous through looking at their Beloved, |
 | And their spirits have reached certitude through triumph and prosperity, |
 | Their settling place has been settled through reaching the request and attaining the expectation, |
And their commerce has profited through the sale of the Present world for the Everlasting world! |
Section Three:
Lord! how sweet to the hearts are thoughts that inspire Thy
remembrance, and how sweet is traveling to Thee (upon the roads of the unseen worlds) by way of imagination!
 |
How pleasant the taste of Thy love, and how delightful is the drink of Thy
nearness!
|
 |
So safeguard us from casting us out and sending us far,
|
 |
And place us among the most elect of the ones who know Thee, the most righteous of
Thy servants,
|
 |
The most truthful of those who obey Thee, and the most sincere of Thy worshipers!
|
O All-Mighty, O Majestic, O Generous, O Endower! By Thy mercy and
kindness, O Most Merciful of the merciful!
|
