We try very hard to become good Muslims.  We try to become good Muslims so that we please Almighty Allah.  When Almighty Allah (God) becomes pleased with us, He will reward us with Paradise (Heavens) and we will be living happily forever, eternally.

If we become good Muslims now, we will be good people while we are alive.  But even more important, it is our longer life, the eternal life that we work for by being good Muslims.  In a way, our life now is like an examination.  We have to use our minds, our efforts and everything in us to be good Muslims.  If we do, then we pass the exam and we will have the Real Success, success that has true meaning.  If not, we will have failed ourselves.

The belief in the Hereafter is an essential component of our Iman as Muslims.

You see, all of us will die.  All the animals will die.  Billions of people had already died, and millions and millions of people will die when their time comes.  Sooner or later all living things will die.  Everything will be dead until a special day, the date of which is known only to Almighty Allah.  On this Day there will be only Allah: Allah Himself.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO US WHEN WE DIE?  go to top of page

When we die, our souls will be kept for us.  Our bodies will decay and be no more but our souls will be kept for us until we are created again.  On the Day of Judgment we will be created again and our bodies and our souls will be united again.  It will be the Day of Judgment, the great day.  On this Day we will be judged for our acts.  Allah Almighty who has created us, will create us back again.  We will be young, handsome, and vigorous, and hopefully the winners of Paradise.

WHEN WILL THAT DAY COME?  go to top of page

No one knows when the Day of Judgment will come, but it will surely come.  Only Almighty Allah knows the moment of the Day of Judgment, and He has told no one.  We ought to prepare for this day by being good Muslims since on the Day of Judgment we will pay for our deeds, good or bad.  All our deeds, small or large, everything we have ever done, will be judged fairly, truthfully, completely and with Allah's Justice.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN ON DAY OF JUDGMENT?go to top of page

Many scary things will happen on that Day.  There will be a special chain of happenings.  By this Day, all living things will be dead.  All people will be dead.  All animals will be dead and all the plants will be dead.

The Angels will be the last.  Every Angel will be dead too.

Then —Almighty Allah will recreate us again.  Everyone will be returned living.

There will be people and more people, billions and billions of them, everyone waiting for his turn to be Judged.  There will be those who are happy and sure of themselves and there will be those who are shaking with fear for what they had done.

Each of us has two angels; they record all what we do, how we act, our thoughts, intentions, and all our deeds.

When we are judged, what we have ever done will be brought before us.  We will remember what we used to think and do. We will remember everything from the time we were children until the last moment we were alive.

Allah will be the great Judge.  He will hear all we say, and our actions, deeds, intentions, and behavior will be judged in a very fair and a most just manner.

TELL ME ABOUT HEAVEN  go to top of page

If we have been moral and good and if we have lived a good Muslim life, then we will receive our just reward.  We will win Paradise (Heaven) and Allah Almighty will grant us the ultimate.  We will live in Paradise eternally forever.  We will be very, very happy over there.  We will be happiest when we are near the Almighty.

We don't have to work in Paradise; everything will be given to us.  We will be in a state of bliss.  We will be given a great, great deal, because when Allah gives, He gives with unending bounty.  We will never die once we are in Heaven and our State of Bliss will go on forever.

See what the Almighty says in His Holy Book, the Quran in Surah 2: Ayah 25:

 "GIVE THE GLAD TIDINGS

TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE AND DO GOOD DEEDS, THAT THEIR PORTION IS HEAVENS..."

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE ARE NOT GOOD?  go to top of page

We always try to be good and follow Islam so that we will deserve the reward.  That reward will be Paradise and it is the greatest gift to us from Allah.

If someone is bad and wants to be bad, if he does not follow the teachings of Islam, then this is a person who deserves Hell.  You see, this person is following the Sheitan and his own personal desires, and he is ignoring Allah and His religion.  If this person has hurt others and if he was cruel and a hypocrite, if he did not apply his religion, then he deserves punishment.

Such a person will be shaking with fear on the Day of Judgment and he will wish so much to be able to come to earth to live again so that he would be good and do good.  But it is too late for him.

Allah (swt) will judge this person and He will give him what he deserves.  All the bad things he has done before will be seen and he will get his punishment for them.  You see, such people will go to Hell and they will be tortured there.

TELL ME ABOUT HELL FIRE, PLEASE  go to top of page

Hell fire is a terrible thing.  It is very hot and it will burn so.  Bad people who go there will be burned over and over again.  It is a punishment that they indirectly asked for and they deserve it.  The fire will be loaded with many things, and those tortured will feel bad because they missed the opportunity to escape Hell while they lived on earth.  If they had done good deeds on earth, they would not have ended up in Hell.  Instead, they would have deserved Heaven and its Bliss.

REMEMBER PLEASE  go to top of page

Please remember that your savior is your actions through Islam, nothing else.  What you do on earth, what you intend to do, how you apply your Islam, what kind of a person you are, all come to count on the Day of Judgment.  What you do while you are alive is what may save you.  You are free to obey or disobey the Laws of Allah now while you are alive.  If you obey them and keep obeying them, then you have won and Allah will reward you very well.  Your reward will be the bliss of Heaven, Paradise.  If you disobey the Laws of Allah, then you will certainly have lost, and your reward will be the terrible torture in Hell.
