|
 | By You I knew of Thee, and it is You who directed me to Thee and called me unto Thee, and without Thee I would not have known what You are. |
 | The Praise is for Allah whom I call upon with my needs then He answers me, even though I was slow when He calls upon me. |
 | The Praise is for Allah whom I supplicate to and He grants me what I plead for, even though I was stingy when He sought a loan from me. |
 | The Praise is for Allah whom I call upon for my needs whenever I wish so, and I entrust Him with my secrets with no intercessor, and He grants me my
wishes. |
 | The Praise is for Allah to whom I plead to none but Him, for if I pleaded to others, they would not grant me. |
 | The Praise is for Allah who dignified me as a disposer of my affairs, instead of making me rely on others who then would humiliate me. |
 | The Praise is for Allah who endeared me even though He is not in need of me. |
 | The Praise is for Allah who treats me with clemency, just as if I have no sin. |
 | So my Lord is the most praised by me of all, and most worthy of my praise. |
|
3. Section three
|
|
 | O' Allah! I find the paths of requests to You to be wide open, And the streams of the appeals to You to be overflowing, |
 | And counting on
Thy grace for those who desire You are accessible, And the gates to pray You for the distressed, are wide open, |
 | And I know that You are for
those who request You in the position of response, And for those who are distressed, You are in a posture of rescue. |
 | And in being eager for Thy kindness and being content with Thy judgment, I find it compensates from the rejection of the misers, and better than the handouts of the
self-centered. |
 | And that the journey to You is short in duration, |
 | and You do not veil Yourself from Thy creatures unless their misdeeds would block them from Thee. |
|
4. Section four:
5. Section Five
6. Section Six
7. Section Seven
|
|
I pray to Thee, O' my master, with a tongue paralyzed by its sin, O' my Lord, I confide to You with a heart doomed by its mischief;
 | I pray to You , O' my Lord, frightened but wishful, hopeful but fearful |
 | If I think about my sins, O' my Lord, I become scared, but when I remember Thy grace I yearn, |
 | So, if You forgive, You are the most merciful and if You punish, You have not unjustly judged. |
 | My excuse, O' Allah, is in my daring to ask Thee, even though I have committed what You abhor, is Thy benevolence and kindness,
|
 | And my preparation for my adversity, given my audacity in committing sin, is Thy forbearance and mercy. |
 | And I am wishful that my hope will not be disappointed, |
 | So fulfill my ambition and accept my prayer, O' The Best who was ever prayed to! O' The Most bountiful to whom we ever request! |
|
8. Section Eight
|
|
 | My Master, my expectation is ever great, but my bad deeds are bad,
|
 | So grant me from Thy pardon by as much as I had hoped for, and please, do not judge me by my greatest mischief,
|
 | For Thy generosity is greater than punishing the sinners, and Thy forbearance and patience is higher than compensating the
inadequate.
|
 | I am, my Master, seeking refuge through Thy abundance, I am escaping from You to Thee,
|
 | While anticipating Thy promise to
forgive those who possessed good convictions toward Thee.
|
 | Who am I, my Lord, and what is my rank! Provide me with Thy bounties and grant me charity with Thy pardon,
|
|
9. Section Nine
|
 | O' my Lord, engulf me with Thy protection, and forgive my punishment by the honor of Thy face.
|
 | For, other than Thee, if anyone would know of my sin, I would not have sinned, And if I feared that You may
hasten my punishment, I would have avoided sinning,
|
 | Not because You are not a grand watcher, nor an unworthy onlooker, but because You, my Lord, are the best secret keeper,
and the wisest of all rulers, and most generous of all the generous. |
 | O' Protector of secrets!,
O' Oft-forgiver of sins! O' Who Knows all that is hidden!
|
 | You protect the secretive sin with Thy grace and You delay the punishment with Thy tolerance, |
 | So to You extends all the Praise for having known and yet been tolerant, and for having pardoned even though You can punish.
|
 | And what motivates and dares me to disobey Thee is Thy patience with me, and what invites me to the lack of shyness from Thee is Thy protection of my concealed sins.
|
 | And what rushes me towards Thy forbidden actions is my awareness of the vastness of Thy mercy and the greatness of Thy forgiveness. |
|
10. Section Ten
|
 | O' Forbearer!
O' Generous!
O' One, the Living, the Self-subsisting! |
 | O' Forgiver of sin!
O' Who accepts repentance!
O' Greatest giver of all good!
O' Retroactive in doing the good!
 | I call upon Thy wonderful protection of secrets, I call upon Thy abundant pardon, I call upon Thy nearby relief,
|
 | I call upon Thy quick rescue, I call upon Thy vast
mercy, I call upon Thy bountiful gifts, |
 | I call upon Thy blessed awards, I call upon Thy splendid favors, I call upon Thy magnificent kindness, |
 | I call upon
Thy enormous endowments, I call upon Thy ancient benefaction, |
 | I call upon Thy benevolence, (O' Most Generous), by which I seek Thy rescue,
and by Thy compassion, please relieve me. |
 | O' Benevolent!
O' Creator of beauty!
O' Benefactor!
O' Bountiful! |
|
|
11. Section Eleven
|
 | I do not depend on our (good) deeds to achieve salvation from Thy punishment, rather I trust it to Thy gifts toward us, for You are the Lord of piety and the Lord of forgiveness
|
 | You initiate Thy giving through Thy graciousness and You pardon sin with Thy kindness,
 | We
do not know what to praise more, is it the good that You distribute or the sins that You keep covert, |
 | or the greatness of what You have granted and
fulfilled |
 | or the
many misfortunes You have averted and ills You have cured. |
|
 | O' The lover of whomever endeared Thee!
O' The delight of the eye of who for refuge sought Thee and dedicated himself to Thee! |
 | You are the doer of good and we are the sinners, So pardon, O' Lord, the ugly that we commit with the beauties that You have, |
 | And what ignorance, O' Lord, can not be accommodated by Thy kindness? And what era is longer than Thy patience? |
 | And what significance do our deeds have, compared with Thy awards? |
 | And how can we hail our good deeds when we observe Thy giving? |
 | Yet how can
sinners despair when they are encompassed by Thy mercy, ever so vast? |
|
12. Section Twelve
|
 | O' Vast Forgiver!
O' Extender of the two hands with mercy! |
 | I swear with Thy exalted might, O' Master, that if You rebuked me , I would not depart from Thy door, and I won't cease to compliment Thee |
 | Since I have indeed come to grasp the knowledge of Thy kindness and benevolence, |
 | And You are the doer of whatever You desire, You punish the ones
You wish, with whatever You wish, and however You wish; and You bestow Thy mercy on whomever You wish, with whatever You wish, and however You wish,
 | Never can You be questioned about Thy doings, neither is there any struggle in Thy kingdom, nor is there any partnership in Thy command, |
 | Or conflict in Thy judgment, and no one can oppose Thee in Thy disposition of affairs, |
|
 | To You belongs all of the creation and command, Indeed Allah, the Most Glorious, is the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds. |
|
13. Section Thirteen
|
 | O' my Lord! This is the posture of the one who sought refuge through You and allied himself with Thy givings, and
became accustomed to Thy forbearance and favors, |
 | And You are the benevolent whose forgiveness is never strained, neither are Thy bounties ever decreasing, nor is Thy mercy
ever lacking, |
 | And we have known with certainty of Thy unrelenting pardon, abundant gifting, and vast mercy, |
 | Would Thee, O' Allah, ever disappoint our thoughts or let down our
hopes? |
 | No never, O' Most Generous! for this is not what we expect of Thee, nor is it what we aspire for, |
|
14. Section Fourteen
|
 | O' Allah, we have a great and ever lasting hope in Thee, We anticipate prolonged and
vast prospect in Thee, We anticipate great desire in Thee, |
 | We disobeyed Thee and now we wish that You make our sins covert, And we prayed to Thee and we hope You would answer us,
|
 | So fulfill our aspiration, O' our Master, for otherwise, we realize what we deserve due to our bad deeds,
|
 | But Thy awareness of our conduct and our knowledge that You won't send us away from Thee, has motivated us to seek Thee even though we are not worthy of
Thy mercy, |
 | You are worthy of bestowing Thy gifts on us and on all the sinners, due to Thy great compassion, |
 | So, award us with what You are worthy of, and grant us of Thy bounty, for we are in need of it. |
|
15. Section Fifteen
|
 | O' Most Forgiving! With Thy light we were guided and with Thy bounty we became richer, and with Thy favors we are
encountered mornings and evenings, |
 | Our sins are before You and we ask Thee, O' Master, for forgiveness and we hereby repent,
 | You befriend us with Thy gifts but we reward You by
sins, |
 | Thy bounty to us keeps coming, but our mischief to You is ever ascending. |
 | And from before and until now, Thy honored angel still brings You the news of our unsightly deeds but that does not prevent You from continuing to surround us with
Thy grace, and You kindly provide us with Thy holy features. |
|
 | I glorify and praise Thee for the extent of Thy patience, greatness and generosity as the Beginner of creation and the eventual Claimer of this world.
|
 | Holiest are Thy names, And glorified is Thy praise, And honored are
Thy favors and good deeds. |
 | You, my Lord, are too vast in bounty and too great in patience and clemency than to judge me by my faults and wrongdoings,
|
 | So I beg of You:
Forgiveness, forgiveness, forgiveness,
O' my Master, O' my Master, O' my Master. |
|
16. Section Sixteen
|
 | O' Lord! Occupy us with Thy remembrance, And guard us from Thy wrath, And protect us from Thy punishment, |
 | And grant us from Thy rewards, And award us from Thy bounties, |
 | And provides us the means to conduct pilgrimage to Thy house, the Ka'ba, and to visit the tomb of Thy Prophet, may Thy peace, mercy,
forgiveness and graciousness be bestowed upon him and his family, Indeed, You are close and forthcoming with Thy answer. |
 | And assist us in abiding by Thy obedience, and claim our souls while we are in Thy good congregation and the followers of the
tradition of Thy Prophet, may peace of Allah be upon him and his family. |
|
17. Section Seventeen
|
 | O' Lord! Forgive me and my parents and grant them mercy as they have raised me since I was young, |
 | Reward their good deeds with Thy Gifts and pardon their misdeeds with forgiveness. |
 | O' Lord! Forgive the believers, be they men or women, living or dead, and let us follow on their path with good deeds. |
 | O' Lord! Forgive the living or deceased of us, the believers present and the absent, |
 | O' Lord! Forgive our males and females, our young and old, our free men and our slaves, |
 | Indeed the antagonists of Allah have lied and have wandered astray, and they have incurred the major loss. |
|
18. Section Eighteen
|
 | O' Lord! Bestow Thy blessings on Muhammad and his family, and conclude my life in virtue, |
 | And resolve what worries me from the affairs of this life and in the hereafter, and prevent him (who won't treat me justly) to be in contact
with me, |
 | And provide me with Thy everlasting protection, and
do not deprive me of the good amenities that You graced me with, |
 | And from Thy bounties, confer on me vast awards that are lawful and good. |
 | O' Lord! Guard me with Thy safeguard, And protect me with Thy protection, And ally me with Thy alliance, |
 | And award me the ability to conduct pilgrimage to Thy sacred house
in this year and in every year, and to visit the tomb of Thy Prophet and the Imams, peace be upon them, and do not deprive me, Oh Lord, from visiting these honorable
sanctuaries and noble positions. |
 | O' Lord! Accept my repentance so that I may not disobey Thee, And inspire me with righteousness and its implementation, And the observance of
Thy presence in the night and the
day as long as You let me live, O' Allah and Cherisher of the worlds. |
|
19. Section Nineteen
|
|
O' Lord! I, whenever I thought I was prepared and ready, and rose to pray, before Thy hands, and confided to Thee,
 | You cast sleep on me when I pray, and You prevent me from communion with Thee when I want to do so, |
Why is it that, whenever I feel content about the goodness of my core, and I become close to the repentants, a sin would occur and cause me to stumble, and deprive me from
Thy service,
O' my Master, maybe You have expelled me from Thy door, and retired me from Thy service,
 | or maybe You observed my disregard of Thy right on me and thus You distanced me, |
 | or maybe You saw me headed away from Thy path and thus You withdrew me, |
 | or maybe You found me to be in the position of the liars so You rejected me, |
 | or maybe You saw that I was not grateful of Thy rewards so You deprived me, |
 | or maybe You observed my absence from the assembly of the scholars and thus put me down, |
 | or maybe You found me to be one of the unheeding so You made me despair from Thy mercy, |
 | or maybe You found me frequenting the assembly of the foul, so between me and them You deserted me, |
 | or maybe You did not like to listen to my prayers so You distanced me, |
 | or maybe You equated me with my crime and sinfulness, |
 | or maybe You punished me for my lack of shyness from Thee. |
|
20. Section Twenty
|
So if You forgive, O' Lord, You have forgiven the many sinners before me.
 | For Thy kindness, O' Lord, is higher than
punishing the delinquents, |
 | and I am seeking refuge with Thy benevolence, and I am escaping from You to Thee, and anticipating Thy promise to pardon those who possess good
convictions about Thee. |
O' My Lord! You are more vast in Your giving and greater in patience than to judge me according to my deeds, or to let me stumble with my sin.
And who am I, Oh my Master, and what is my danger?
 | award me Thy benevolence, O' my Master! |
 | And render me Thy pardon, |
 | and cover me with the protection of my secrets, |
 | and pardon me from Thy chastisement with Thy resplendent face. |
|
21. Section Twenty One
|
|
|
O' Master! I am the young one whom You have raised, And I am the ignorant whom You have educated,
 | And I am the mislead whom You guided, And I am the humiliated whom You elevated, |
 | And I am the frightened whom You safeguarded, And the hungry whom You fed, |
 | I am:
 | The thirsty whose thirst You quenched, And the naked whom You dressed, |
 | And the poor whom You made wealthy, And the weak whom You strengthened, |
 | And the insignificant whom You honored, And the sick whom You cured, |
 | And the beggar whom You provided charity to, And the sinner whose secret You made covert, |
 | And the wrong doer whom You aided, And I am the insignificant creature that You made important, |
 | And the oppressed whom You made victorious, And I am the escapee to whom You gave refuge, |
|
|
22. Section Twenty Two
|
I am the one, O' Allah, who did not revere You when in my seclusions I committed sins, nor in public I observed Thy commands,
 |
I am the very crafty, I am the one who dared His Master,
|
 | I am the one who disobeyed the Commander of the skies, |
 | I am the one who awarded briberies upon the disobeying of the Munificent, |
 | I am the one who when I was forewarned about sins, I hastily raced to them,
|
 | I am the one whom You were patient with me but I did not comprehend,
|
 | and You veiled my sinfulness but I did not become diffident, and I committed sins, insisting belligerently, |
 | and You then disregarded me but I did not care, |
 | But with Thy grace You postponed my punishment, and with Thy veil, You safeguarded my sinfulness as if You have overlooked me, |
 | And You shielded me from punishment deserved by my sins to the extent that it appeared as if You shied off from me. |
|
23. Section Twenty Three
|
|
O' my God! I did not disobey You (when I did) because I rebuffed Thy divinity, or because I belittled Thy commands,
 | Or
that I was daringly challenging Thy punishment, or that I did not appreciate Thy forewarning, |
 | Yet the mistake has occurred, and my very self has mislead me, and my sinful desires had won
over me, and my foolishness had helped me to it, and Thy gentle veil over my sinfulness had lured me, |
 | For I have disobeyed Thee and opposed Thee with my own effort, |
And now who would rescue me from Thy retribution;
and from the hands of Thy punishment tomorrow (in the hereafter) who would redeem me,
and with whose rope do I hold on to if You cut off Thy rope from me?
 |
So what a pity for what Thy book has recorded on me, |
 |
Which, if it was not for my anticipation of Thy kindness and great mercy, as well as Thy ordering me not to lose hope, I would have certainly despaired when I remembered my sins. |
 | O' the Best of whom a worshiper has ever prayed, and the Foremost of whom anyone has ever wished! |
|
24. Section Twenty Four
|
O' my Lord! In the name of the marvelous Islam, I implore Thee, And through the wonder of the holy Quran I
depend on Thee, And with my
love for the unschooled Prophet, who is: of Quraish, The Hashimite, The Arabian, of Tuhama, of Mecca, and of Medina, I seek closeness to Thee. So please:
 | Do not dispel the purity of my faith, nor cause my ultimate award as that of who worshipped other than Thee.
 | For,
there are some who believe only with their tongues to save their lives, so they gather what they wish for,
|
 | But we believe in Thee with our tongues and with our hearts so You may pardon us. So grant us our wish,
|
 | And anchor our hope in Thee, in our hearts, And do not let our hearts go astray after You have guided us, |
 | And grant us Thy mercy, for You are the Utmost Granter. |
|
And I swear by Thy glory, that even if You dismiss me, I won't depart from Thy door, and I would continue to compliment Thee, for my
heart has been inspired with the knowledge of Thy benevolence and vastness of compassion.
 | To where would a slave go but to his master, |
 | To where would a creature seek refuge but to his Creator. |
|
25. Section Twenty Five
|
My Lord! Even if You tie me with chains, And You deprive of the stream of Your favors from me, to be witnessed by others,
 | And You point to my scandals to the eyes of Thy worshipers, And You order me to the inferno, And You isolate me from the company of the
faithful, |
 | I would not end my hope in Thee, and I would not dismiss my reassurance of Thy pardon, |
 | And my love to You would not depart from my heart, |
 | I do not forget the helping hand You bestowed upon me, and Thy concealing my secrets in the abode of this life. |
|
26. Section Twenty Six
|
|
O' my Master! Remove the adoration of worldliness from my heart, And unite me with the Mustafa and his family, the highest of
Thy creatures and the last of the Prophets, Muhammad, peace from Allah upon him and his family,
 | And transfer me to the level of repentance to Thee, And help me to cry for myself |
 | For I have squandered my life with false hopes, And now I have come to Thee little hope of my goodly works,
|
 | Who can be worse off than I, if now I am passed on to a grave in my present state!
 | that I have not prepared for my repose, and I did not line it up with good deeds for my final sleep, |
 | And why would I not weep while I have no knowledge of my fate |
 | and I observe my self deceiving itself, and my days are fading away, |
 | and the wings of death have flapped close by, So why wouldn't I cry! |
|
|
27. Section Twenty Seven
|
|
 | Shall I cry for surrendering my life, or cry because of the darkness of my grave, |
 | Or shall I cry because of the narrowness of my niche, or cry for the questioning of Munkar and Nakeer of me, |
 | Or shall I cry for my leaving my grave resurrected naked, humiliated and carrying the register of my deeds on my back,
 | I look to the right once and to the left once and I discover that people today have their own concerns, than mine, |
 | For every person that day has a concern of his own: Some faces look radiant, laughing, and joyful, while others look dreadful, submissive and
humiliated. |
|
|
28. Section Twenty Eight
|
O' Master! I settle my destination, dependence, hope, and reliance upon Thee, And to Thy mercy, I cling;
 | You bestow Thy mercy on anyone You please, and You guide by Your compassion anyone You like, |
 | So praise be to Thee for purifying my heart from ascribing partners to Thee, And praise be to Thee for releasing my tongue,
 | Is it with this incompetent tongue of mine I thank You |
 | or is it with my utmost effort do I satisfy Thee? |
|
 | And how incapable is my tongue, O' Lord, when it comes to thanking Thee? |
 | And how insignificant are my good deeds beside Thy gifts and fortitude with me? |
|
29. Section Twenty Nine
|
|
O' my Lord! Thy gifting has enhanced my hope in Thee, And praising Thee has accepted my deeds.
 | O' my Master! Towards You is my aim, and of You I direct my fear, and to You I direct meditation, |
 | And to Thee my hope has driven me, And on Thee, O' Mighty One, I focus my initiative, |
 | And upon what You possess I
unfold my desire, And upon Thee rest my ultimate hope and awe, |
 | And it is Thee that I adore, And toward Thee I spread my hands open, And with the rope
of Thy obedience I ease my fear. |
O' my Lord! In Thy remembrance my heart flourishes, And in communion with Thee I relieve the pain of my apprehension.
 | So, My Lord! And O' the One to whom I hope! And O' the One who is the Ultimate Destination who Grants my request! Separate
between me and my sins which disable me from abiding by Thy obedience,
 | For I only ask Thee due to the everlasting hope in You, as well as the coveting of Thee in the fullest, in what You obliged Yourself from compassion and
mercy. |
 | The command is Yours, for You are the only One without partners, and all creatures are in Thy maintenance and within Thy grip,
|
 | And everything submits to Thee, blessed are Thee, O' Lord, the Cherisher of the worlds. |
|

|
O' my God! Bestow Thy mercy upon me when my excuses have failed, and when my tongue has ceased to be able to answer to
You, and my intellect has subsided upon Thy questioning,
 | So, O' to whom I submit my utmost hope, do not disappoint me when my want has intensified, and do
not reject me due to my ignorance, |
 | And do not deprive me due to my lack of patience. Provide for me for I am poor, and bestow Thy mercy upon me for
I am weak. |
O' my Master! Upon You I rest my dependence, destination, hope and reliance,
 | And to Thy mercy I cling, And on Thy grounds I conclude my journey, And to Thy generosity I
direct my request, |
 | And with Thy grace, O' Allah, I commence my prayer, And with You I seek relief
from my indigence, |
 | And with Thy wealth I mend my poverty, And under the shadow of Thy pardon I stand, |
 | And to Thy generosity and benevolence, I raise my eyesight, |
 | And to Thy favor, I prolong my vision, |
So, burn me not in the inferno because You are where I place my hope,
 | And, reside me not in the bottomless pit of hell fire |
 | for You are indeed the comfort of my eye. |
 | O' my Master! Do not disappoint my expectation in Thy benevolence and Your known favor, because You are my Confidant and Security,
|
 | And do not deprive me of Thy reward for You are Aware of my poverty. |

O' my Lord! If the end of my life has neared and my deeds did not bring me near Thee, then I hereby render my admission of sin as my justification.
 | O' my Lord! If You pardon, then no one is more worthy of pardoning than Thee, And if You punish, then no one is more just
than Thee in judgment, |
 | O' Lord have mercy toward my estrangement in this life, and my misery upon my death, |
 | and my solitude in the grave, and my loneliness in the niche, |
 | and because when I am dispatched for judgment before Thee, have mercy on my unsightly state of affairs, |
 | and forgive what is concealed from others of my bad deeds, and prolong for me what You have concealed of my sins,
|
 | and confer Thy benevolence on me when I am laying motionless on the death bed so that the beloved of my relatives surround me,
|
 | and grant me Thy gifts when I am stretched on the funeral bath so that the goodly of my community may wash me,
|
 | and bestow Thy tenderness upon me, when I am carried by my relatives, handing over the sides of my coffin, |
 | and award me Thy generosity when I am transported and finally delivered to be alone in my niche, |
 | and have mercy on my solitary confinement in this new residence so that I may not be comforted by anyone but Thee. |

32. Section Thirty Two
|
O' my Master! If You entrust me to my affairs, I would perish; then whom do I seek rescue
with, My Master, if You would not avert my stumble,
 | To whom would I seek shelter if I lost Thy kind care in my dormancy, |
 | And to whom would I resort to if You do not relieve my plight. |
My Master! Who will be on my side and who will bestow mercy on me if You do not?
 | And whose bounties would I anticipate if I lack Thy grants on the day of my plight? |
 | And to where shall I run away from my sins, when my life comes to an end? |
My Master! Punish me not while I am pleading to Thee! O' my Lord! Fulfill my desire and allay my apprehension
 | because I can not avert the consequence of my plentiful sins except with Thy pardon. |
My Master! I am asking You for what I do not deserve, but Thee is the Lord of righteousness and the Lord of forgiveness,
 | So, forgive for me, and conceal from Thy sight with a cloak that masks my liabilities, thus forgiving me so that I may not be reclaimed with it,
|
 | Indeed, You are the Lord of ancient favor, great pardon and generous forgiveness. |
|
33. Section Thirty Three
|
 | My Lord! You are the One who overflows His streams of favors, even on the ones who do not implore Thee, and the ones who reject Thy Lordship,
|
 | So how would You not, O' Master, grant the same favors to the one who implores You, and submits with certainty that the Creation is Yours and
so is the Command? |
 | Praised and glorified You are, O' Lord and Cherisher of the worlds. |

|
O' my Master! Thy creature is at Thy doorstep; his despair has rooted him before Thy hands. He knocks on the gate
of Thy graciousness with his prayer, and he solicits Thy kindness through his Du'aa,
 | So please do not turn away Thy honorable face from me and accept from me what I plead for, |
 | For I have pleaded with this Du'aa hopeful that You would not turn me down, since I have known
of Thy benevolence and mercy. |
 | O' my Lord! You are not burdened by the pleas of the beseecher, nor are You ever encumbered in rewarding Thy grantee, |
 | Verily, You are how You describe Thyself and above what we can describe. |
|
35. Section Thirty Five

|
O' my God! I implore Thee to grant me a rewarding patience, a quick relief, a truthful speech, and a great reward;
 | I ask Thee, my Lord, for all the good, whether I know of it or not, |
 | I ask Thee, my Lord, for the best of what have asked You Thy righteous believers. |
 | O' You the Foremost of whom was ever asked! and the Most Generous that has ever given,
 | Fulfill my quest for myself, my family, parents, children, proximate community, and the believers in Thee, |
 | And enrich my living, and enhance my goodness, and improve all of my affairs, |
 | And cause me of those whom You have prolonged his life, and improved his deeds, and completed Thy gifts upon him, and have accepted his
deeds, |
 | and have been satisfied with him, and made him live a good life; in permanent joy, and utmost honor, and goodly living, |
|
 | Indeed, You do as You please, and not as others please. |

O' my Lord! Let my sustenance be vast, and let me be secure in my homeland,
And grant me:
 | the delight in family, and finances, and offspring, and the continued enjoyment of Thy bounties, |
 | And grant me health and strength in body, and the safeguard in faith, |
 | And forever utilize me in being obedient to Thee and Thy Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (peace of Allah upon him and his household), as long as I live,
|
 | And cause me to have the biggest share among Thy worshipers in
whatever good You cause to descend, |

|
 | And allot me with the ability to conduct pilgrimage to Thy holy house in this year and every year thereafter, |
 | And grant me hefty sustenance from Thy vast bounties, |

|

|
O' my Lord and my Master! I swear by Thy might and exalted majesty, that if You seize me by my sins, I will then call upon Thy mercy,
 | and if You seize me by my meanness, I will call upon Thy kindness, |
 | and if You forward me to the inferno, I will inform its inmates about my love of Thee. |
O' my Lord and my Master! If Thee were to forgive not but Thy devotees and those who obey Thee, then to whom would the sinners resort to?
 | And if You were to not honor but the
people of loyalty to Thee, then to whom the offenders would resort to? |
O' my Lord! If You cause me to enter the hellfire, it will be to the pleasure of Thy enemy,
 | But if You cause me to enter paradise, it will be to the delight of Thy Prophet, |
 | And verily, Oh Allah, I know that the delight of Thy Prophet is more favorable to You than the pleasure of Thy enemy. |
|
40. Section Forty
|
O' my Lord! I ask You to saturate my heart with Thy love, and fear of Thee, and observing Thee,
 | And believing in Thy Book, and faith
in Thee, |
 | And fright from Thee, and longing to Thee. |
O' the One of Majesty and Honor!
 | Render me loving of Thy meeting, and do love my meeting Thee, |
 | And grant me in meeting Thee comfort, relief, and honor. |
|
41. Section Forty One
|
O' my Lord! Unite me with the virtuous who preceded me, and render me to be among the remaining virtuous, and
lead me to the way of the virtuous,
 | And aid me in restraining myself with whatever You aid Thy righteous believers with,
|
 | And culminate my deeds with their best, and make my reward from it heaven, with Thy mercy,
|
 | And assist me in implementing the virtues that You granted me,
|
 | And anchor me on the right path, O' Lord! And return me not to an error You rescued me from before, O' the Lord and Cherisher of
the worlds!
|
O' my Lord! I ask You to grant me a faith that has no maturity until I meet Thee,
 |
Prolong my life as long as You maintain me on the faith, and claim my soul as long as You claim my soul while it is on the faith, |
 |
and resurrect me as long as You resurrect me on the faith; |
 | And purify my heart from pretensions, or doubts, or seeking reputation through Thy religion, so that all my deeds would be solely intended for Thee. |
|
42. Section Forty Two
|
|
43. Section Forty Three
My Lord! I seek refuge with You from lethargy, and from failure,
 | and from distress, cowardice, stinginess, and unawareness, |
 | and from cruelty, and the humiliation, |
 | and from poverty, and the indigence as well as every calamity; |
 | and from the sins, whether they are apparent or concealed, |
And I seek refuge in You from a self that does not get content,
 | and a stomach that does not get satisfied, |
 | and a heart that does not get pious, |
 | and a prayer that does not get accepted, |
 | and a deed that is not beneficial. |
And I seek refuge in You O' Lord, to safeguard me, and safeguard my religion, my finances, and all of what You awarded me, from the evil of Satan, the accursed;
Indeed, You are the One who hears and knows all things. |
44. Section Forty Four
|
O' my Lord! No one can shield me from Thee, and I cannot find beside Thee any shelter, So do not leave
in me a deed worthy of Thy punishment, and do not lead me into jeopardy or a painful retribution.
 | O' my Lord! Accept my prayer and enhance my stature, |
 | And elevate my standing, and reduce my sinful burden. |
 | And do not deal with me by my bad deeds, |
 | And let the reward of my presence, and my speaking, and my prayer be in Thy satisfaction, and so heaven. |
 | And award me, O' Lord, all of what I ask of You and increase it with Thy favors; |
 | Indeed, I am full of desire toward Thee, O' Lord and Cherisher of the worlds. |
|
45. Section Forty Five
|
 | O' my Lord! You have revealed in Thy holy book to forgive those who committed injustice toward us, and we have committed
injustice toward ourselves so pardon our conduct, for You are more worthy of pardoning than we are; |
 | And You commanded us not to turn away the needy who knock on our doors, and I hereby come to You needy, so do not turn me away until You
fulfill my need; |
 | And You commanded us to treat justly those whose reins we hold, and You hold our reins of freedom, so liberate our necks
from the hellfire. |
|
46. Section Forty Six
|
|
O' My shelter in my misfortune! O' my Guardian from my hardships!
 | To You I resort, and with You for help I appeal and seek refuge: I do not seek but Thee, nor would I request
relief but from Thee,
|
 | So come to my aid, and relieve me.
|
O' One who liberates the captives, and accepts even the little of good deeds, yet pardons the plethora of sins,
 | Accept from me the little good I have done, and forgive for me the plethora of my sins; |
 |
Indeed, You are the Most Merciful and Oft-forgiving. |
 |
O' my Lord! I ask Thee to grant me a faith that You endure my heart on, |
 |
And Certainty in Belief so I ascertain that nothing will happen to me except of what You have destined for me, |
 |
And award me contentment in my livelihood with whatever You have apportioned for me, O' the Most Merciful of the merciful. |
|
